I found having a million different websites to handle my online content, bloody maddening.

That's a lot of things to manage and being so splayed out means that it's often not easy for a customer to find what they're looking for and to give you money!

Why bother?
I used to have a ko-fi. That was great till I got chucked off. Then I got an OnlyFans. That was shit. I did a lot of research into what the rules were, how hosting works, how to navigate payment providers and terms of service for a bunch of different spaces.

Essentially I wanted something that

Is easy to use
You know, because what the hell is the point if you dread logging in? It's already hard enough to get round to doing slagmin without the system being a total ballache.

Has resilience
Hands up if you've ever been chucked off a site, shadow banned or had money frozen? Actually, keep you hands down, it's too depressing.
​
I want to work with companies who want to work with me. I want to use providers who celebrate what I do, not stigmatise it. Or you know, just don't really give a fuck.
​
On the chance that they choose to change their T&Cs, it's important to have the ability to kick them to the curb (the bastards) and pick another supplier - without losing everything you've ever created.
​
Own it
I wanted something that I owned. Something that a shareholder in a big company couldn't yank out from under my feet. Something where I remained in control over the relationship I have with clients and decided how I talk about my own sexuality and services.
So I just did it myself.
Not finding a supplier that looked sexy enough, cared about my privacy enough and run by people that I don't really think had my best interests at heart, I decided to find my own people to make a site that I felt proud and happy and relaxed about having.
​
One which made me excited about updating it. Where I didn't feel like I was fighting the platform, performing for an algorithm or sucked into a level of grind that I certainly didn't get in to this biz to do.

This job can be funnnnnnnn!!! For all the shit moments, it can be great. So yeah, I thought I would share.
