I was in the job for twelve years before I stumbled on the community. From trade unions to club nights, the UK is bursting with events specifically for us, many organised by us.

I didn't realise how isolated I was until I plugged myself in and now when I have a shitty night at work I can bitch about it over hash browns to people who know exactly what I'm talking about.

I now know where to turn when I need advice on something and I even found I was eligible for free therapy to help me manage my burnout.
